Dreaming awake

I can clearly see nothing is clear
I keep falling apart every year
lets take a hammer to it
there’s no glamour in it
is there any way out of this dream

  1. What a lovely little caravan! Abandoned? Mmm: intriguing; there’s a sense that someone will be back. I love the lighting in this image which feels dream-like as it concentrates the attention on the caravan.

    • I don’t actually know, but I think it’s abandoned yes. It’s strange, you find so many weird and wonderful abandoned things over here, sometimes a car, a bicycle, or in this case seemingly a miniature caravan. Thanks Meanderer!

    • And it was standing all alone in this wide expanse of a park. So yes, it did indeed feel nostalgic when I first lay eyes on it. Thanks Mimo!

  4. “Well the wasted part of me / Is this ol’ trouble so hard / And the wasted part of you / Is your half filled up heart / We been rollin’ and rollin’ / Honey all our lives through / Still drunk, still crazy, still blue” (Scott H. Biram)

Brings back some rough but fine memories of the road, broken strings & bleeding fingers. Singing songs in places never known before, sleeping on the side of road. Always running. A mighty fine composition. Achingly beautiful!

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

    • You know Fritsch, you’ve got such a magical talent for combining words with images, and that’s why I’m so addicted to your site! Man, but most of them are so spot on it almost hurts – in a bleeding fingers and broken strings kind of way, you know what I mean, right?. Cheers for the very welcome, and much appreciated compliment.
