Night Swimming (yesterday to tomorrow)

Beauty is what the eyes behold
And you burn brighter than most
I chased you thru the midnight streets
To be where I could speak freely

Flashlighted stones & what remains of the night: A left over chair. A hurting beauty of lonesome night crawls. Memories of fading lovers & burning the candle from both ends. Ending up confused. Stranded alone in beauty, brother! Achingly beautiful, JP!

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

    • You know, that chair hit me like a ton of bricks, the way it just stood there against some ancient wall…Man, that really got to me in some subtle and (possibly) not entirely understood way. Thanks again for following my stories, brother. And you know how much I appreciate your kind and encouraging words…after all, we speak of the same things.

  3. Honestly, I like your body of work very, very much. Your images hold so much amosphere and are so evocative, mostly of melancholy, I find, but such beauty!

    • That’s so kind of you, thanks so much. Yeah, I don’t know what it’s with me and the melancholy as it’s not a conscious decision to go that way, it just kind of happens, you know.

    • I’m actually very unsure about that one, and I’m probably going to attempt something slightly different with it, but thanks a lot.

  5. Love those lyrics by Audioslave, and listening to them is so fitting with these images. Very cool; very romantic. Love your stuff JP.

    • Yeah, I haven’t listened to them in ages, and then while editing with the radio on in the background, bam, those lyrics hit me. Thanks, Marina, I really do appreciate your support.

  8. Good images, JP, and poignant words too! I like the top image best, the colours and shapes in that wall are just something else! I think a word I might use for you is smoldering – your pictures consistently get to me, you have such an eye. Adrian

    • Smouldering…I certainly like that! LOL. Yeah, I don’t know, these are probably a bit experimental in nature, but thank you so much, I’m really pleased to hear that you rate them.

      Cheers, mate.
